Privacy Policy

Effective September 30, 2026

Price sharing is optional. Hidden prices are not included in public totals, markup, or public responses.

1. Scope and controller

This policy explains how GOVOTECHNOLOGIES LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through MapMyApps (the “Service”). It applies to visitors, account holders, and people who contact us.

2. Information we collect

Account and identity: email address, username, display name, encrypted authentication information, and account timestamps.

Google sign-in: when you choose Google OAuth, we receive the Google account identifier, verified email, name, and profile image made available by Google. We do not receive your Google password.

Profile and community content: profession, industry, optional specialized role, company-size range, region, bio, profile photo, optional social and personal website links, public stacks, software usage, ratings, comments, reactions, and replacement explanations.

Pricing: optional price type, amount, currency, billing period, plan, seats, visibility choice, and reporting date.

Stack Audit requests: selected stack, team size, goals, concerns, optimization priority, consent timestamp, workflow status, optional PayPal email, and the PayPal transaction identifier entered by an administrator after verification. We do not collect or store payment-card credentials.

Reports and moderation: the reported record, reason, optional details, review status, administrator notes, action taken, and review timestamps.

Technical information: standard request and security logs such as IP address, browser, timestamps, requested URLs, session identifiers, and error information.

Communications: messages and supporting information you send for support, privacy, catalog corrections, or partnerships.

3. How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, provide profiles and stacks, calculate member-authorized public totals, generate and explain recommendations, maintain historical audit integrity, moderate community features, answer requests, prevent abuse, debug and secure the Service, improve catalog quality, and comply with law. We do not currently use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics.

4. What is public

During the MVP, member stacks are public. Public profile context may include display name, username, avatar, profession, role, industry, bio, stacks, active software, ratings, comments, reactions, and price reports marked public. Members may make their profile page private, which hides the combined profile details and stack collection from that page and removes it from the sitemap. Their display name, avatar, public stacks, ratings, and comments remain visible where they appear elsewhere in the Service. Hidden price amounts, account credentials, and private operational records are not published. Do not submit confidential information in public text fields.

5. How we share information

We may provide information to infrastructure, database, storage, email, authentication, payment, and security providers that process it for us; to Google when you use Google sign-in; to PayPal when you choose its hosted checkout; and to an AI service only when the missing-product enrichment workflow requires optional structuring of public website content. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, during a corporate transaction, or with your direction. We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies and sessions

The Service uses essential cookies or similar storage for login sessions, security, and requested functionality. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide controls required by applicable law.

7. Retention and deletion

We retain information while an account is active and as needed to operate, secure, and document the Service. Removing software ends its active usage interval rather than erasing the historical record. Account and domain records may be soft-deleted from current public views while immutable audit events, usage intervals, security logs, backups, and records needed for legal or dispute purposes remain for an appropriate period. We may de-identify retained information for aggregate analysis.

8. Your choices and rights

You can edit account and profile information, change ratings, update active software, and choose whether individual prices are public. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, object to, restrict, or delete personal information, and to appeal a denied request. Submit requests through the contact page. We may verify your identity before acting.

9. Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to applicable safeguards and law.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice where required. Questions and privacy requests may be sent through our contact page or to support@mapmyapps.com.
