Selection guide

Is Sage Accounting the right ledger for your business?

Editorial review ·

What is Sage Accounting used for?

Sage Accounting is a bookkeeping product for managing everyday business finances. Evaluate it around your actual invoicing, expense, bank reconciliation, and reporting workflow. Sage also sells other accounting products; Sage Accounting, Sage 50, and Sage Intacct should not be treated as interchangeable editions of one subscription.

Read pricing for the right country and edition

The catalog's Sage Accounting plan records use the UK pricing source and GBP. They are not a US price quote. Check the regional vendor page, included users, required features, taxes, billing commitment, and the price after any introductory offer. A temporary discount should not be your ongoing budget. The plan verification date below applies to the stored prices; this editorial review does not refresh those amounts.

Try one complete bookkeeping cycle

In a trial, create a customer invoice, record an expense, match a bank transaction, and produce the report your bookkeeper needs. Check who can review or correct the work and how records can be exported. If you also use a CRM or payment processor, define which system owns the invoice and how fees and deposits reach the ledger. Sage is the financial record in that design; client deadlines and internal team work may still need a separate home.
